Telehealth myofunctional therapy is the delivery of orofacial myofunctional therapy through secure video visits instead of in-person appointments. Patients are trained remotely exercises and habit training that improve tongue posture, lip seal, breathing patterns, chewing, and swallowing. It’s commonly used for children and adults with mouth breathing, tongue thrust, sleepdisordered breathing, orthodontic relapse risk, TMJ issues, or speechrelated oral habits, and works best for motivated patients who can practice exercises consistently at home.

​A Comprehensive Airway Assessment is a detailed evaluation of the structures and functions that affect breathing, sleep, and overall health. It includes a thorough review of medical and sleep history, facial and oral anatomy, jaw and tongue posture, nasal breathing, and airway space. When indicated, diagnostic records such as photographs, scans, or questionnaires may be used to identify signs of airway restriction or dysfunction. This assessment helps determine whether airway-focused treatment, orthodontic intervention, myofunctional therapy, or referral to another healthcare provider may be beneficial.

A mini myofunctional therapy session is a focused, shorter appointment designed to reinforce progress and maintain continuity of care. During the session, the therapist briefly reviews the patient’s symptoms, home exercise compliance, and any changes since the last visit. Targeted oral–facial exercises are practiced to support proper tongue posture, lip and cheek strength, nasal breathing, and functional swallowing patterns. The therapist provides realtime feedback, makes small adjustments to exercises as needed, and answers specific questions. The session concludes with a concise review of home practice instructions and goals to support continued progress between full therapy visits.
